The GOAL: A fun and informative game that encourages donations.
"Orbit" had its beginnings as part of a group project in my Senior Year at UTD. My group mates and I were tasked with finding a nonprofit and finding out a good way to bring them more donations and publicity. We eventually found Penny 4 Nasa (a non-profit for bringing NASA more funding through donations) and came up with "Orbit" - a game that would:
1. Be advertised on sites and apps to get the app and nonprofit more attention.
2. The App would be available in the Apple Appstore and the Google Play Store for download for FREE.
3. Users would play the game while simultaneously learning facts and figures about space and NASA to encourage donations to the non-profit.

The GOAL: An informative app that helps users across the UTD Campus.
This concept was made for a team college project at the University of Texas at Dallas. The project goal was to make an app or service that doesn't exist, but would prove useful. My team decided that our project should help new and old students alike to get around campus, find lost items, and report hazards around the university.
I was tasked to be the group's visual designer which led me to come up with this first initial concept:
This page is the apps home page; it's purpose is to allow the user to search and locate pins on the map. They can also Sign-in to the app or access settings. The user can also select anywhere on the map and create a pin of their own through the use of their Saved Photos or Camera.
This page displays recent pins in ascending order. Each pin has a designated color for which type of pin it is:
BLUE: Received
YELLOW: In Progress
RED: Not Received
GREY: Just placed
This button is accessible from everywhere in the app (except for Settings). It functions just like the Home page but the user only has two choices: Saved Photos or Camera.
Displays the current lost items around the school at the location that they were found at. Users can claim reported items on this page, but it requires that the student be signed in to proceed. From there they are contacted through their UTD email to go through further confirmation.
This option helps users locate classes and offices around the university. It provides contact information of certain buildings and offices for convenience. If signed-in the user can choose the option to have the app lead them there.
